About Us

A little help for her friends… from flowers, invitations and food, to rentals, staff, locations and entertainment, friends would always turn to Cornelia for help and she would deliver. That is how Cornelia Guest Events came to be. Today, several years later, Cornelia, Marko, and the team are still at it. Diligently paying attention to the most minute of details to make each event memorable.

Armed with the knowledge that food is truly the core of any social gathering, we pride ourselves in providing our clients with delicious dishes that are more timeless and satisfying, than trendy and pretentious. Depending on the season, we use as many fresh vegetables and fruits as possible, organically grown at Cornelia’s Artemis Farm Rescue. If we don’t have it, we love to support our wonderful local green markets.

Meet Cornelia Guest and Marko Matijas, the fabulous duo who will help you wow your guests. No party is too big or too small. Whether your party is for two, two thousand, or more, Cornelia and Marko will make your next event a night (or day) to remember.

Cornelia Guest

Cornelia Guest has been passionate about animals and nature since she was a child. Her passion is reflected in every aspect of her life including her philanthropy, animal activism, and business enterprises.

Once dubbed the Deb of the Decade, Cornelia knows more than just a thing or two about memorable events and how to plan them. As such, in 2009 she founded Cornelia Guest Events, catering high-end charity and entertainment events with healthy, delicious, no-fuss, elegant dishes.

While Cornelia enjoys a whole-foods/plant-based diet, her views and choices are not forced on clients and menus are not limited to vegan and vegetarian options.

Marko Matijas

Hailing from Europe, Marko Matijas has over 10 years experience in floral and event design at some of New York City’s most famous venues and for a variety of the city’s most discerning clients. Alongside Cornelia, Marko has helped plan and host many luncheons, dinners, and cocktail parties all with a distinctively elegant style and European flair.
